Project Synopsis:
A
Seattle based business theatre producer subcontracted me
to create several animations for one of their largest clients,
Washington Mutual Bank. Each year Washington Mutual has a huge
employee 'State of the Group' show. In 2002, the show was in
the Anaheim Convention center, where over 3,000 employees gathered
for information, entertainment, and motivational speeches. The
producer had me design
several animated Flash pieces that were to be played as each
speaker walked out onto the stage. Flanking the stage were four
18 foot by 24 foot screens; and, immediately behind the stage
was one huge 34 foot by 53 foot 'Westerhagen' LED screen. The
animations were to play across all five screens. I enlisted
the help of the brilliant sound designer, Tom Smurdon (www.nodrums.com),
to create original music for each animated piece, and the extremely
talented animator, Alex Marquez (www.amarquez.com),
to help me complete the over twelve unique animations. This
project was a blast! Enjoy!

screens. Needless to say, that center 'Westerhagen' screen
was huge.
